Mr. Coffee – K cup Coffee Maker
Mr. Coffee K-cup Coffee Maker Saves The Day
Having had several Mr. Coffee drip makers in the past, of course I was familiar with the name. What I did not know is that there is a Mr. Coffee K-cup Coffee Maker.
Why did I need to know this? Simple. My Keurig single cup coffee maker experienced a power surge during a lightning storm. It is dead. Gone. Never to brew another wonderful cup of coffee.
Even though my first choice would be to get another nifty Keurig coffee maker from the folks at Green Mountain, I am under a budget crunch at the moment. Rather than paying $129, I paid a measly $55. It was not too difficult to get the other half of this husband-and-wife team to agree to the purchase. She knows how much I enjoy those flavor-rich cups of Tully’s Kona Blend or Donut People k-cups. She even likes the Donut Shop coffee on occasion.
So we are back in k-cup business at my house, using a Mr. Coffee k-cup coffee maker.
There are some things about this k-cup brewer that are different than the Keurig B-60 that I replaced. The most obvious thing is that it only brews one size. The reservoir is just 8oz and not a drop more. This works fine for me, because in my personal opinion, k-cups have the most flavor at that size, but there are those who want a larger dose, and the only way to get it with Mr. Coffee is to brew twice using the same k-cup. It works OK, although it takes an extra two minutes or so to add the extra brew.
I am totally happy with my Mr. Coffee k-cup coffee maker. I highly recommend it.
